In Loving Memory Of Greg Kozan
Hi friends and Family- It's me Desiree Novak.
As most of you know I have many people that are like my extended family through caring for their children. One family that I absolutely adore has been battling a huge fight with such amazing strength and admirable grace. Cambrie's dad (Greg) was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago. He is unable to work and his wife has taken a lot of time off work to be able to take him to doctor appointments and treatment. While they have never mentioned this to me, I can only imagine the added strain finances must be.
I hate to see their struggle and pain. As I pray everyday for Greg's health and his and his family's strength, I wish I could do more. The only thing I could think of to do is try to bless them with a little help to make it through this time financially. I have committed to match every donation that anyone makes with an equal amount off Cambrie's tuition. So every penny you give is like a double blessing to this beautiful family.
I know each of us has different abilities, talents, and resources. If you would like to give in a different way, I imagine that as well as finances being strained, their time is spread thin due to doctor appointments. So if you would like to make dinners (frozen prefered) or simply pray that is welcome also. For every meal that is made for their family (2 adults, one child), I will make a meal for them also (although they may not want to eat mine, cooking is not one of my talents!). For Every prayer that is posted on here my entire family will say an extra prayer for Greg and his family. Anything that you do is extremely appreciated.
I am always so inspired and motivated by people's love and generousity, that's why I would would want to match anything that is done.
Please know that Cambrie's family does not know about this yet and had nothing to do with this. It was all I could think of to do to try to help.
I truly believe in the power of prayer and a loving community. I am sure that whatever we do as a community in any way we are able to show our support , it will be a blessing them.
Sincerely,
Desiree
The other night as I was praying for Greg I happened to randomly open my bible to this and it motivated me:
Philippians 2:4 Let each of us look not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others.
