It is with unbearable sorrow that I share that Ava, Audrey and I lost our beloved and favorite person on Friday, June 30, 2023. We were in a tragic boating accident near Victoria BC. The girls and I were rescued by the coast guard two hours after our boat sank and they found our precious Russ an hour later. They did everything they could but Russ did not survive. We are heartbroken beyond words, but have been surrounded by more love and support than could ever be imagined. Without posting details, I want to shout from the mountain tops that us girls are only here because of the grace of God hearing our prayers and because Russ is our hero. He truly saved our lives! It will come as no surprise to anyone who reads this that Russ did every single thing he could to ensure “his girls” were safe and this was during a very traumatic and very short window of time. Nothing I can write here will give enough credit to Russ but what I can say is that I’m grateful for all the love we have felt from near and far and we are grateful that Russ was ours. We love him so! We are planning a memorial for 9/9/23 and I believe my sister will follow up to this post with more details. Please send love and prayers. We appreciate and need them so!
