Paul Hayes

Paul Hayes has been married to his beautiful wife Carmen Hayes for 39 years. Both are lifelong residents of Lumberton, NC and are pillars of our community. They have one daughter Hannah Baffaro, teacher at East Robeson Primary School in Lumberton, NC. Hannah is married to Nick Baffaro who is an Assistant Principal at St. Pauls Middle School. Together they have given Paul and Carmen two beautiful grand-daughters Brookes and Reece. Paul has been a business owner of Blaze Away Fire Protection for 24 years. Paul has been a volunteer firefighter for 20 plus year with the Allenton Fire Department. On Thursday March 17, 2022 while on the scene of a active fire, Paul Hayes was struck by a motor vehicle. Due to the injuries he sustained on the scene, Paul was airlifted to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Due to this unexpected event, I have set up this GoFundMe page to help their family with any expenses that may arise from this tragic incident. Paul has always had a passion for helping others in a time of need. Now is our time as a community to pull together and help his family in this time of need.
