**8 to CREATE is a non-profit registered student organization at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign**
Every year, the student members of 8 to CREATE organize a free live art show for the public. We invite 8 professional artists to work on 8 unique pieces for 8 hours. This year, our show will be on March 11th, 2017.
8 to CREATE relies entirely on fundraising and grants to ensure that anyone can come to our show, free of cost. The money we collect is used to buy materials for our show, rent out our venue, and of course, support our talented artists.
8 to CREATE has a wide reach and a great impact.
-It gives students professional art and design experience.
-It brings together the Champaign-Urbana community.
-It turns the one-way process of making art into a two-way conversation.
-It breaks down cultural barriers by bringing together artists from all walks of life in one creative space.
