My name is Rebecca Brownlee and Calvin Pettit is the step son of my son’s 5th grade teacher, whom I grew to know and respect last year. When I was made aware of what happened, I wanted to start a Gofundme account for Calvin.
This 25 year old teacher stepped in to stop the fight that led to the recent shooting at Timberview. Without violating the family’s privacy by revealing too many details, he suffered major injuries that he was hospitalized for and could have very well taken his life. But God intervened and he should be released soon.
As you can imagine, no one plans for this type of thing to happen and he will certainly have a long road of recovery ahead. The last thing he should be concerned with is medical bills. I would like to help this family by raising money to go towards his medical expenses. All funds raised will go directly to Calvin to help with whatever medical expenses were incurred as a result of this shooting.
Furthermore, Calvin’s family is part of the MISD family & as such we pull together to support our own. Will you please consider donating to this young man who stepped into a dangerous situation with little regard for his own safety. Thank you so much!
