Hurricane Idalia Faraway Inn

We have sustained major damage from the storm. We are a small business with 12 rooms. The damage we have sustained includes the destruction of cottage 1, cottage 2 has lost the entire outer wall on one side, cottage 3 lost all windows and contents. Our gulf view rooms 10, 11, and 12 along with the Captain's Quarters has to be rebuilt if we are able to use the foundation. We are lucky enough to only sustain minor damages to rooms 5,6,8, and 9. Cottage 4 amazingly has survived the storm with no damage along with our resident cat Turtle. We have lost more than half of our profits until we rebuild. We have amazing guests that we have inherited and acquired in the almost 2 years we have taken over. Many guests are asking what they can do to help. Any little bit will help, and we also welcome volunteers to help with the cleanup. Thank you for all the love and support during this incredibly sad event in our community. All of Cedar Key needs help rebuilding.
