Supporting a Future
Donation protected
My name is Jessica Belisle and I am the mother of two adorable children (Cole and Ava) and a wife to a supportive husband (Randy). I am a counselor at a local community mental health center and work with children 18 and younger. I have a heart for serving and giving to others. I love doing therapy and could not imagine my future without it. I also could not imagine my children's future without me. Recently I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) which is an aggressive type of Breast Cancer. It has spread to my lymph-nodes and at this point I do not know how many it has spread to. The cancer is very aggressive and the team of doctors want to start Chemo as soon as possible. Due to my work with children there is a strong possibility I will have to take short-term disability because Chemo and children with germs do not mix well. The Chemo regiment is going to be 5 months long with a possible 4 week double mastectomy recovery at the end. Not only is the treatment going to be a huge financial burden on the family but taking short term disability also impacts my family financially. I want to see my children go to swim lessons, go to that silly "I'm done with kindergarten" ceremony, attempt to cut their own hair, have a first kiss, kiss their bruised knees, watch them fall in love, graduate from college, have their own children, and just grow. I want to continue to be a mother. My family and I are grateful for support, PRAYERS, love, hugs, and more PRAYERS. We continue to be blown away by the out-pouring of love we have received in the last few days and feel so humbled and grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for your support and PRAYERS.
