My Beloved Dogs Surgery

I've raised this dog since he was 7 weeks old, and he's the most important thing in my life. The last couple weeks he's been in so much pain he wont walk around the house much, sometimes I'll ask him to come to me and he'll start to get up and just start crying because he can't and lays back down. I took him to the vet last week, no xrays they just gave me some antiinflammatory pills charged me $60 and sent me home. The pain hasn't gotten any better so I made another appt. and took him this morning. They did xrays and it turns out he broke his ACL and needs surgery, which is going to cost 1341.02-1651.93 US dollars. I'm a 21 year old girl who works part time in a pizza shop and volunteers on a local fire department. I don't make a lot of money and unfortunately it would be a very long time for me to save up for this kind of surgery. I'm not the kind of person to ask for handouts but in this case it's the only chance he has. He's my best friend and it's killing me to see him in this kind of pain. Any help AT ALL will be appreciated GREATLY.
