This is my cousin Mariam, and her story.

Hello, I am Mariam (26 years old) and my husband Mahmoud (33 years old). We are a newly married couple from Gaza who got married a year before the war.

I worked as a voiceover artist in the freelance field, and my husband is an accountant in a company in Gaza.

My husband and I were living a normal and wonderful life and we strived to build a beautiful house to live in with a professional voiceover studio.

On October 7th, the war broke out in Gaza, and we were displaced three times from Gaza to the southern sector. Our house was completely destroyed, my studio was shattered, we lost all our furniture and recording equipment that we worked hard to get, and our beautiful dream did not last.

In addition to that, while we were displaced to the southern sector, my husband and I did not take any belongings with us, and we narrowly escaped the violent bombing that happened right in front of us. There was no place to go, so we took refuge in a tent that lacked all the necessities of life, such as a shortage of water, food, and electricity, and communication outages.

Later on, I heard the sad news that my father's house was completely destroyed, the place we used to call home where we lived our childhood, as teenagers and adults, the neighborhood we lived in with our friends and neighbors for years was simply turned into rubble.

My husband's company was also destroyed, and in a matter of minutes, our lives were wasted. The house, the savings, the work, the friends, the neighbors, the memories, all disappeared in the blink of an eye.

My husband and I had dreams, dreams of a simple, peaceful, and bright life that we all have the right to live.

But leaving is not a cheap solution. The cost of arranging an exit from the Rafah crossing to Egypt is around $6,000 per person, in addition to the initial costs so that we can settle down and live, And build our beautiful home.

We have created this campaign to help us leave Gaza to find opportunities to live and work And build our beautiful home

Every dollar raised will help us start a new and safe life and live in peace and security.

هذه ابنة عمي مريم وقصتها

مرحبا، انا مريم (26 عام) و زوجي (محمود 33 عام) ،زوجان حديثا من غزه ، تزوجنا قبل سنه من الحرب

عملت كمعلقة صوتية في مجال العمل الحر ،وزوجي محاسب في إحدى الشركات بغزة

كنا نعيش انا وزوجي حياه طبيعية و رائعه و سعينا لبناء منزل جميل للعيش فيه مع استوديو احترافي للتعليق الصوتي.

وفي 7 أكتوبر اندلعت الحرب في غزة، وتم تهجيرنا خمس مرات من غزة إلى جنوب القطاع. لقد دُمر منزلنا بالكامل، وتحطم الاستوديو الخاص بي، وفقدنا جميع الاثاث ، ومعدات التسجيل التي عملنا بجد للحصول عليها و الحلم الجميل لم يدوم

واضيف الي ذلك أثناء نزوحنا الي جنوب القطاع انا وزوجي ولم نأخذ معنا اي ممتلكات و نجونا عده مرات من القصف العنيف الذي حدث أمامنا مباشره و لم يكن هناك اي مكان نذهب اليه فلجأنا الي الخيمه التي تفتقر لجميع مقومات الحياه، مثل نقص المياه والغذاء والكهرباء وانقطاع الاتصالات

وفي وقت لاحق سمعت خبر محزن وهو تدمير منزل والدي بالكامل ، ذلك المكان الذي اعتدنا أن نسميه المنزل حيث عشنا طفولتنا، كمراهقين وبالغين، ذلك الحي الذي عشنا فيه مع أصدقائنا وجيراننا لسنوات قد تحول ببساطة إلى أنقاض

وكذلك تم تدمير الشركة التي يعمل بها زوجي وفي دقائق قليلة ضاع العمر. المنزل، والمدخرات،العمل، والأصدقاء، والجيران، والذكريات، كلها اختفت في لمح البصر.

لقد كانت لدينا أحلام، أنا وزوجي، حلمنا بحياة بسيطة وهادئة ومشرقة من حقنا جميعاً أن نعيش حياة طبيعية

لكن الرحيل ليس حلاً رخيصًا. تكلفة تنسيق الخروج من معبر رفح إلى مصر حوالي 6000 دولار للشخص الواحد، بالإضافة إلى التكاليف الأولية حتى نتمكن من الاستقرار والعيش، و نحتاج ايضاً بناء واعادة بيتنا الجميل

لقد أنشأنا هذه الحملة لمساعدتنا على مغادرة غزة للبحث عن فرص للعيش والعمل وبناء بيتنا الجميل

كل دولار يتم جمعه سيساهم في تمكيننا من بدء حياة جديدة وآمنة، والعيش بأمان وسلام.
