I've been severely ill for almost 2 years with Lyme disease, Bartonella and Babesia. I've probably had these diseases for many years but i just got diagnosed in December 2013. I have A LOT of symptoms including depression, anxiety, OCD, psychosis, memory issues, muscle and joint pain, nausea, migraines, fatigue, insomnia, sleep disturbance, weight gain, stretch marks, loss of appetite, sound and touch sensitivity, etc.. these symptoms prevent me from going to school (i missed my entire junior year of high school), from having a job, and some days i can't even get out of bed nevermind the house. I've been to 20+ doctors and on 30 (possibly more) medications. All the treatment plans i've been on for Lyme, bartonella and babesia are too hard for my body to handle. In August 2013, I got surgery for a hickman line (a central line in my chest for IV antibiotics). Doing IV antibiotics has been much easier than earlier treatment plans, but I still continue to face debilitating symptoms/side effects every single day. This disease affects every system in the body, taking a toll on my immune system. A treatment that will help boost my immune system is IVIG (blood transfusion). IVIG is extremely expensive and isn't covered by our insurance plan. My parents would like me to receive this treatment but we will have to pay privately. If you could please donate even the littlest amount of money (like $1) it would mean the world to us. This could be a start for me getting my life back and being a normal teenager.
