Resurrect Lance’s wheelchair van.

FREEDOM LOST:

The same fire (read below) that ravaged my home last October also consumed my sole means of transportation, a completely adapted van with automatic everything and the ability to use hydraulics to “kneel” giving me the most freedom and accessibility I ever had. The van was purchased in 2019 using the last of life insurance funds received after my dad passed from Multiple Myeloma, he was so wonderful with me, we were featured on the Today Show(video below). Unfortunately, my disability has left me so weakened and fragile I can’t leave my chair & hop in another vehicle to travel. Can’t go get vital checkups, medical procedures and more. I haven’t been able to go anywhere unless by ambulance or hauled in a trailer with furniture. The amount I am raising is for a used vehicle (about $60,000) with the same safety and accessibility equipment as the one lost, unfortunately, used vehicle prices skyrocketed over the last few years, and still are incredibly high even though supply & logistics have improved. Reaching this goal will improve my mental health by allowing me to go to movies and stuff with my family and will improve my health outcomes since I will be able to attend my medical appointments. EMERGENCY EDIT:

While doing my 6th stream with adaptive equipment and streaming PC, my nephew had to save me because the house caught fire taking everything needed to care for me. The fire was so intense my wheelchair van also burned even though it was in front of the garage. Family and strangers risked their lives and rescued me running in and out of my home through billowing smoke. For most this would be unfortunate but my needs are many and every tool family used to care for me is gone.
