HEALING TIFFANY BOWNDS

Please help my 17 year old daughter Tiffany!

It is scary being allergic to the world! Tiffany told me the other day as she has valiantly been fighting for her health in our environment that has become toxic to her. Everyday living has become a nightmare to navigate just trying….wanting….to feel and be normal. Tiffany has dizzy spells, trouble breathing, trouble concentrating and blood sugar spikes when she is exposed to “the world” that causes her body to react.

Tiffany Bownds was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2014 when she was 8 years old.
As soon as possible, we went to the Environmental Health Center in Dallas, Texas and through extensive testing combined with alternative medicines and treatments and rotation diet were miraculously able to normalize her blood sugars without any outside insulin whatsoever. This did not happen on its own before receiving the specialized medical care. She was able to stay off insulin for about two years until the devastating day her blood sugars shot up after getting an IV (not from the Environmental Health Center) and would not go back down. Not being able to live without it, she had no choice but to go on insulin. Her medical costs were more than my income and as a single parent, I was not able to continue her medical care at the Environmental Health Center. Even though it was evident the medical care she received at the Environmental Health Center was necessary since her blood sugars, A1C and all aspects of her health became phenomenally normal, Presbyterian insurance would not cover any of the medical expenses.

Hence, Tiffany continued on insulin, but never feeling as well as before using insulin. Taking the prescribed Novalog brand insulin caused her hair to start falling out and the skin to peel from the palms of her hands and the souls of her feet. She switched to Humalog brand insulin to keep from having those side effects, but not feeling optimal. In January 2021, her insurance company forced changing her “long acting” insulin to the brand Semglee for the cost to be covered by insurance. This is when her health problems really began and started getting progressively worse. She had dizzy spells, trouble speaking, trouble breathing, and trouble concentrating. It even took her some time to remember what the current year was. Even after changing her “long acting” insulin to Tresiba, we then had to start keeping track of everything she ate, where she had been and what she had done to try to figure out what was making her sick. Foods, supplements, medications, mold and building materials all affected her.

In May 2022, we decided it was necessary to return to the Environmental Health Center in Dallas, TX where she had received so much help before. We are grateful to know about this clinic as they test her sensitivities and create antigens for her to inject.

Tiffany is a young woman of excellence in her character, discipline, thoughts and deeds. Tiffany is very smart and after she got help from the Environmental Health Center this past May 2022, was finally able to function better and started college at age 16. Her health crisis has driven her to study for a pre-med degree and then plans to attend med school to become a MD. She wants to help people as she has received help and has an interest in medical research. She excelled in spite of her health condition and earned a 4.0 GPA her first semester at college.

However, her sensitivities are a moment-by-moment challenge. She sometimes gets dizzy and has trouble breathing when she has to take the insulin her body requires for the Type 1 diabetes. This is very difficult as she has to take the insulin four or more times per day. The Environmental Health Center is the only place she is able to receive the medical care she needs as they can test her insulin sensitivities and they create her antigens to help her body accept the insulin she has to take as a Type 1 diabetic. The antigen medicine that the Environmental Health Center creates reduces her inflammation, helps her blood sugars stabilize, regulates her sensitivity to hormones, and builds her immunity so she is not as sensitive to so many foods, chemicals, molds, pollens, car and jet fuel exhaust, building materials and the environment. She has to follow a strict rotation diet just so she can function daily. If she is bombarded by too much environmental toxicity during the day, she has significant trouble breathing at night. The toxins can alter her hormones which cause blood sugar spikes during the night, and she becomes very low-functioning until her body is able to heal over time.

She recently started feeling worse again (like she felt when she had liquids or foods that had been in plastic) and having blood sugar spikes. It had affected her studies and grades. Again, she had to start investigating and figure out what had changed to make her feel sicker this time. This time she stopped eating the organic cucumber that the grocery store wrapped in soft plastic wrap. Thankfully, this appeared to be one of the things that was making her sicker. Tiffany also felt sicker since they sprayed herbicide and pre-emergent around her college campus.

Tiffany is NEVER able to get rest from having to deal with her blood sugars and the effects the environment has on her. No matter how tired she is, she has to stay up and deal with her blood sugars to take them down if they are high and bring them up if they are low before she can go to sleep. She is not able to use the Dexcom continuous glucose monitor because the line that goes under the skin is made of plastic. She had trouble breathing and dizziness when she tried it. She often says she is living in a nightmare.

Tiffany sometimes has headaches and ringing in her ears since the 5G cell phone towers have been installed. This is another area we have to investigate to see if and how much Electromagnetic Field (EMF) may be affecting her.

Since she is going to college 1086 miles from home and unable to eat in the college cafeteria at all, I buy the meats she needs (some specialty which cannot be found in or near the city where her college is located), cook them, freeze them and overnight them to her at college. This is costly, but the only way we are sure she is getting the quality meat she needs to survive and thrive without any added oils or seasonings that cause her sensitivities. She is able to buy the other organic foods she needs there and makes all of her own meals.

As a single parent now age 60, I have mostly needed to work two jobs or use money from inheritances to raise Tiffany and her two older sisters. My CareCredit card is maxed out. Tiffany’s special medical needs and costs are overwhelming and beyond my ability to provide. Tiffany will have a lifelong need to continue monitoring her environmental sensitivities. We appreciate any help you can give for her medical bills that insurance doesn’t cover, but are necessary for her to function during the time she is at college and hopefully med school and if something should happen to me making me unable to be there for her. No amount of help is too small. Currently, Tiffany's vials of antigens cost $12,000 a year (we need to purchase them every 4 months costing $4,000). This cost will increase as she is able to test more incitants to get antigen medicines for relief and more ability to function. These are just the medicines she needs to help her function. This does not include necessary lab costs nor costs of her skin testing. Tiffany's special needs will be costing $140,000 over the next 7 years. We are asking for $20,000 each year to cover the cost of antigen medicines that build her immune system, testing, labs, therapies, supplies, supplements, special dietary needs, doctor consults, and travel for the next seven years while she is in school. To be good stewards of the support, Tiffany has a separate bank account for her health, medical, and GoFundMe funds to pay those bills.

Tiffany is devoted to helping others with the knowledge and wisdom that God has given her. Please pray for her. Please share this post on your social media to help Tiffany.

Thank you, Lisa Bownds, very concerned mom
