Friends Helping Friends

My name is Peggy Holland Grable. My BFF, (for 50+ years) and her husband Rory are living a real live nightmare right now! First of all, Gae is one of the kindest, happiest, hard working people I know and once you meet her and hear her laughter, you’ll never ever forget her!! While visiting her twin sister, Rae, family and friends here in Washington, the unthinkable happened in her beautiful home of Lahaina. Her husband Rory called and relayed the nightmare news, “It’s all gone, Gae. Everything is gone.” The recent hurricane fueled wildfire on Maui destroyed their construction business. All of their equipment, vehicles furniture and irreplaceable photos. Worst of all, the deadliest US wildfire in more than a century took the lives of some lifelong friends. I need to help Rory recover what he’s lost so he can help rebuild their beloved island!

I want/need to set up this “go fund me” so Gae has the means to not only restart her own life, but to help her community rise from ashes. Please help me put some of that happiness back into Gae’s heart and laughter back into her voice, and give her a fraction less to worry about. She lights up my life and always has. I love her and will do anything I can to help her and her friends get through this!! Isn’t “that’s what friends are for”?? Thank You with all my heart……
