Jordan’s Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hi everyone. We are appealing for help to raise funds for a local family whose beautiful little 3 year old boy has recently been diagnosed with an aggressive grade 3 brain tumour.

Here is Jordan’s story:
4 months ago, Jordan started being sick daily. Initially both parents thought he had just caught a bug from nursery but 2 weeks in he was still being sick daily so went to see their gp. The GP couldn't find anything wrong but after a urine test put him on a course of antibiotics. The parents werent happy and felt something else was going on so took him to their local hospital where they saw a nurse and explained they wanted a second opinion only to be told that this was not something they did.

A few days later Jordan’s urine results came back clear, a week later antibiotics had finished. However, Jordan was still being sick up to 5 times a day. The parents phoned the GP again but Jordan couldn't be seen and the parents were advised to go to local hospital where nothing was again found wrong. Jordan was put on anti sickness medication and parents told to ring the GP to book a blood test in 3 weeks time.
At this point Jordan had gone off food, not drinking much and had become unstable on his feet.

On the 10th of June, Jordan went to bed and was again sick. The parents got him out of bed only for him to walk into the sofa and fall over so had to be rushed to East Surrey hospital. On the 11th of June Jordan was admitted and had a CT scan which found a mass on his brain. The next day he was taken up to St George’s hospital in London where he had an MRI scan and an EVD in place to drain excess fluid of his brain. It was then that the family were told Jordan had a tumour.

On the 13th of June, Jordan under went a 6 hour operation to remove his tumor, all of which has now been removed.

On the 26th of June, if was confirmed Jordan had a ependymoma grade 3 which is a rapid growing cancer on his brain. On the 28th of June Jordan had a lumbar puncture done.

Jordan is now waiting to start an advanced form of radiotherapy for 6 and a half weeks in London.

With all the hospital appointments, Jordan’s long and gruelling treatment coming up and the family having another 2 boys to look after they are currently unable to work and really struggling both mentally and financially. We have therefore put together this GoFundMe page as well as a fundraiser event at The Sussex Barn in Horsham on the 26th of August to help alleviate some of the financial pressure to allow them to concentrate on getting Jordan better and being there for him supporting him every step of the way. As the future is uncertain, when Jordan is feeling better the family would also love to take him on a family trip and make precious memories.

Together we can make this possible for Jordan and the family who we know would be so very grateful.

So please give anything you can to help this local family at what is a really difficult heartbreaking and uncertain time.

You can also come and show your support at The Sussex Barn in Horsham on the 26th of August from midday onwards where there will be entertainment for adults and children, competitions, games and much more. All proceeds will be split between the family and their chosen cancer charity.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
