Meet our friends Charlie, Shane and their 3 year old boy Issac..
Issac plays a huge part in ours and our own children’s lives, he is full of beans and larger than life especially when it comes to dig-digs (diggers) and football!

Inbetween the fun, the love and the laughter Issac has been a very poorly boy most of his life. Back in March he was taken into hospital with suspected burst appendix, but it wasn’t his appendix it was an 8cm by 9cm Cyst that was trying to duplicate his bowel. Issac had the Cyst removed and was sent home to recover
Within a few weeks he bounced back to his cheeky self and was excited to hear that he was going to become a BIG BROTHER!

However..
On Wednesday 31st May Charlie message us (our Mum group chat) to say Issac wasn’t feeling well and that he wouldn’t be able to make our weekly soft play date. Issac went down hill and was taken to A&E on the Friday which resulted in him being sent to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.. Charlie and Shane were given the news that no parent wants to hear, unfortunately Issac was diagnosed with Cancer and he does in fact have a rare cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. Charlie’s, Shane’s and all there loved ones world crumbled.
Issac has a long road ahead of him as he faces more scans and the cancer is too aggressive to wait to be transferred to London so he will start Chemo here in Bristol. He will have 27 weeks of Chemotherapy followed by more surgery then the potential of Radiotherapy.

Since hearing the most devastating news that our best friends crazy, funny, digger mad son has Cancer we have felt totally helpless, especially as Charlie and Shane don’t ask for anything.. but are always there when you need them!

what do we do? What can we do? How do we help? What do they need?
Charlie and Shane are currently out of work while spending all of there time in hospital, with a beautiful baby on the way and yet still with bills having to be paid - we are wanting to help with travel costs with having to travel 52 miles a day, parking, food, bills, items that benefit Issac like comfy clothing, a bigger pushchair for when he’s too tired to walk etc..

As very good friends of Charlie and Shane we have set this page up in hope that you could just spare a small donation to help.

Lets get our boy back and kicking x
