GOING THE EXTRA MILE IN STYLE
Through out the trauma of being born the first Grandson of two Cotton Pickers from the state of Mississippi my life has been fair. Mom and dad was too young to understand my purpose, so I wouldn't say they didn't care. Times were just difficult. Now I do recall the fun times having family cook outs, getting dirty from the BBQ sauce that was finger licking. Then some how Grandma and Grandpa migrated to Memphis after the 1960's. In my teens I wanted to be just like them. Working for what I needed to take care of my responsibilities, feeling good on the inside from doing so, and when time permitted looking as if I went the Extra Mile to obtain everything the Universe produced.
My Grandparents didn't get the opportunity to receive a college education. so I decided to be the first one to receive at least a associates degree from a community college. After receiving my certificate of completion I was determined to provide shelter, clothing, and all of the other necessities needed to live a balanced life. But, I was unaware of politics, the economy, and how every market has its time for increase and decrease. After a decade of sleeping on couches and pallettes
, I woke up and discovered the trucking industry and how to get paid to travel the world in a Semi with a bed.
After my journey I decided to share my experiences through literature.
