Help Chris Get Back on the Road

UPDATE 12/10/24: We are thrilled to have reached the original $20k goal thanks to all the generous donors (THANK YOU)! A new, safe, and reliable van with the necessary accessibility modifications was quoted at $90,305 — more than double what we expected. This includes about $46,000 for a new vehicle itself, $52,100 for the modifications, $4,000 in taxes and fees, and a discount of $12,000. The modification cost is similar on a used van and insurance will only cover up to $15,000. Because of this, we are raising the goal.

Our close friend Chris needs our help. Recently, his wheelchair-accessible van—his primary way to get around—caught fire and was totaled on his way to work. Thankfully, Chris is okay, but now he’s without transportation.

These vans with hand controls are incredibly expensive. We’re raising funds to help Chris replace his van with a safe and reliable one.
