My sister - Laura

My name is Mattie, my sister Laura was admitted to the hospital on 4/20/23 with dangerous low hemoglobin levels in her blood, close to heart failure. They couldn’t figure out why. After a few blood transfusions and a CT scan doctors learned her spleen has swollen up larger than the size of her liver and has an 8 inch mass growing inside it. There was also evidence of necrosis of her spleen (dead tissue). She was diagnosed with spleen cancer (splenic angiosarcoma).

She is currently awaiting a surgery to get her tumorous and dying spleen removed. She’s already missed a week of work and they have to wait another week before removal to provide pre surgery vaccinations. In addition to this, recovery time post surgery is likely to be longer than her insurances short term disability policy will cover.

I am asking you donate not only to support her loss of income so she can pay her rent but also to help cover the extraordinary hospital bill she will likely incur.
