Help David Rodarte - Bicycle Hit & Run Accident
Donation protected
This past Sunday morning, my sisters oldest son David Rodarte, our sweet nephew was hit while riding his bike to go to work at Box Street Social. A place he loves to work at.
He’s an avid bicycle rider and actually chose this form of transportation over owning a vehicle at this point in his young life.
In fact he finally bought another bike he had been saving for right before this accident. He is a good boy and I know everyone says that about their family but David is a truly good young man.
Our family is understandably devastated and we are taking it minute by minute waiting for him to wake up.
His mom Terisa, his stepdad Chris, along with David’s siblings and grandparents haven’t left his side. We are all leaning in to be a support for each other everyday since this happened.
Today was the first day we are seeing progress. We are praying and hoping he pulls through this, he’s a fighter we can tell.
We know accidents happen, time and unforeseen occurrences are a part of life but actually going through this is surreal and unreal.
We are waiting on updates from SAPD to solve who hit him and why they left him.
It’s unbelievable how many pedestrian and hit and run accidents happen in San Antonio.
Just these last few days I have heard of at least 3 that have lost their lives to this. His accident happened on Brazos and Cincinnati.
The investigation is early and ongoing.
If anyone has information we need it please.
Any help would be much appreciated to David and his family. Any words of comfort are much appreciated. Please DM me for my Sisters contact information.
