DOLLARS FOR DOZER

Hi! My name is Dozer. I'm a purebred AKC-registered French Bulldog, also known as a "Frenchie", or the cutest dog in the world!
I was born in July 2020; amidst the wildfires in Washington and Oregon states. I've been a hot mess ever since!
Here are some facts about me:
In September 2020, after some facetime, my soon-to-be forever humans, (Mom & Dad), drove 8 hours to another state, in wildfires to pick me up. My Mom held and loved on me the entire drive to my forever home. When we got there I was so excited to meet my human big brother and sister!!
(And no, I know what you're thinking, I did not pee myself...okay, maybe a little. I was so happy and overjoyed)!
In December 2021, a very scary thing happened to me and I was so scared! My mommy and daddy were too! They didn't tell my brother and sister right away because they didn't want them to be very scared either.
I was taken to the emergency hospital where the nice people gave me anesthesia, a spinal tap, (OUCH), and an MRI. The thing that scared us all is called a seizure, and it was the first of MANY to come.
My diagnosis was idiopathic epilepsy. Perhaps caused by a genetic disorder.
Now I have to take medicine. Twice a day I take something called Phenobarbitol and Zonisamide, that's 4 pills a day.
Every 6 months I go to a neurologist and get a complete blood panel done. This is to make sure that my medications are not damaging my organs and decreasing my life span.
Even with all these precautions, if I have a seizure, another medication is added. I would take that 3 times a day for 2 days. If that doesn't work, I go to the emergency hospital. I've started having cluster seizures too. When those happen, I go directly to the emergency room, ASAP! And, as if that wasn't enough bad news, even though my parents paid for breeding rights; and because my mom and dad are honest people, they told me that I would never be a daddy because of my seizures.
In June 2022, I had BOAS, (Bronchicephalic airway syndrome) surgery. It was actually 3 surgeries at one time: stenotic nairs, elongated palette and the removal of everted laryngial sackules. Now I breathe a whole lot better! But, we found out that I have severe food sensitivities and my environmental sensitivities are so bad that I can't go for walkies anymore.
In January 2023, I had abdominal surgery to remove a foreign material from my tummy. I stayed at the "Hotel" Vet for 3 days and 2 nighttime sleeps.
So far, in my 24 months of life, I've had countless trips to the emergency hospital and Dr. Vet, and lots of various tests, pokes and prods. When Mom isn't working from home and Dad's at work, one of my wonderful gramma's come and stay with me.
Due to multiple injuries, my Dad has chronic pain, and also has countless trips to the ER and many doctor visits. He has stenosis in his neck, degenerative disc disease, bulging and slipped discs, and carpal tunnel in both wrists. He hurts a lot!
In 3 days, my Mom is having a major surgery, with a 6 to 8 week recovery time. So it looks like the 2 of us will be recouperating together.
Mom and Dad work very hard so that my brother, sister and I can live our bestest lives possible! I know I am, but my medical bills make it hard on the rest of my family.
To date, MY medical bills exceed $39,000, and I'm pretty sure that's a LOT of money, (I hear Mom and Dad talking in private and sometimes they cry). If only I was a stud...then maybe I could help pay for some of this. But, alas, I can't be; because of my seizures.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about me, for your consideration, and hopefully a donation because every penny counts!
XOXOXOXO
