Christmas in the Park Sacramento

Since 1999, groups of friends and families gather on Christmas Morning at 7:00 am in Caesar Chavez Park downtown Sacramento to hand out 150+ new backpacks filled with new socks, gloves, hat, food, toiletries, and other necessities, to anyone in need. We also have a free shopping area, for used coats, blankets, and pet supplies. What started with a child’s big heart and 20 lunch bags has grown to hundreds being served by scores of volunteers.
