Help with College Tuition
Hi! My name is Jon-Patrick.
For those who don’t know me; music has been an integral part of my life for over a decade.
In 2016 I applied to Berklee college of Music and unfortunately was not accepted. However, I took that time to attend community college, and hone in on what i wanted to pursue in regards to music.
Ultimately I want to be able to complete my degree and work towards opening a studio. To give an opportunity for low income musicians/individuals to create without a paywall preventing them from creating.
This past April i was accepted into the Berklee undergraduate degree program for music production and engineering. Because of my time at community college, i was able to knock out 40 credits worth of general studies that was transferrable. Which leaves me with 80 credits remaining for my Bachelors in music production from Berklee.
Due to schooling being online, my financial aid doesn’t cover the full tuition amount. Each semester for this school year has a remaining balance of $2000 of tuition due for enrollment. Because of my family situation, financially i’m unable to have a co-signer otherwise i would take out private loans. I plan on being able to make tuition payments through a payment plan offered by the school. This does not cover other expenses such as books, software, and hardware required by classes.
It pains me to think that the only obstacle holding me back from attending a program that i’ve wanted to attend for five years is financial status.
Im not expecting to reach the goal that i have set, and i understand how tight these times are.
But literally anything will help in relieving any stress from having to make these payments out of pocket.
Here are several links detailing various projects i’ve undertaken musically since 2015:
