Fighting cancer

My name is Marc McCune, a retired Captain with the Kansas Highway Patrol, now serving as the Chief of Police in Silver Lake, Kansas. I've been in law enforcement since 1980, 43 years. On 31 May 2023 I was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 nodular Melanoma and have undergone numerous treatments, tests, scans and surgery to remove the tissue and affected lymph nodes from my chest. I'm fighting with everything I have and have a great deal of treatment and testing left to go, but the medical costs have already depleted my Health Savings Account and my bills uncovered by insurance are incredible and just beginning.
