On January 29th, everything changed for Kristen. What began as a normal day turned into a medical emergency no one could have anticipated. Kristen suffered a sudden burst AVM, a catastrophic and life-threatening event that has left her fighting for her life in the ICU as she awaits critical brain surgery.
Kristen is so much more than a patient in a hospital bed. She is a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend - someone whose warmth, strength, and love have always been felt by those around her. She has a way of showing up for others with care and compassion, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Kristen’s road ahead will be long and incredibly challenging. Right now, she remains in critical condition under constant care, with her medical team working tirelessly to stabilize her and prepare her for surgery. While this moment is overwhelming, it is only the beginning. Recovery from a brain injury is not linear, and the journey will involve extensive rehabilitation, ongoing therapies, and long-term support.
The financial burden associated with this level of care is immense. As her family focuses on advocating for her and ensuring she receives the very best treatment possible, we are reaching out to our community for support. Friends, loved ones, and even those who may not know Kristen personally but feel moved by her story can make a meaningful difference.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Kristen’s medical expenses, surgery, rehabilitation, and long-term care. If you are unable to contribute financially, sharing Kristen’s story is just as impactful. Spreading awareness helps build a network of love and support around her and her family during this unimaginable time.
Thank you for keeping Kristen and our family in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness, generosity, and support mean more than words can express as we stand beside her during the hardest fight of her life.
