Save food, help people, & protect the environment

The Immigrant Link Centre Society (ILCS) is a registered charity that collects groceries close to their best before dates or have been deemed imperfect for sale, and distributes it to about 1,500 people a month - program beneficiaries (e.g. low income families, single parents, and refugees) and other organizations (e.g. First Nation School, Union Gospel Mission, Powell St. Getaway, Surrey Shelter, Aunt Leah’s Place). This non-profit organization is exclusively volunteer-run. For the last three years, the ILCS has been able to cover the costs of the organization, but has now identified the need to expand and have a greater impact on the local community. ILCS hopes, through the fundraising, to save more food, protect the environment better and feed more people, at least 9,000 people per month. Each $ 10 can feed 1 less fortune person per month.
