Support Dennis Marlett: Cowboy with a Huge Heart

***Update: Dennis is still not working and is working with his doctors in order to find out more about the nerves that are continuing to give him pain and trouble.***

On March 25th, 2023, Dennis Marlett was involved in a serious bicycle accident. (Many of you know Dennis as the greeter at CF Livermore who always wears a cowboy hat and welcomes every person with a warm smile and all the kids with a high five or hug!)

The accident occurred as Dennis was riding his bicycle past a parked car, and the driver inside the vehicle, who did not see Dennis, opened the door and hit him.

As a result, Dennis flew off of his bicycle and suffered significant injuries including: multiple broken bones in his right hand/arm, several broken ribs, severe nerve damage in his right leg, significant injury to his right hip and knee as well as many scrapes, bumps and bruises.

Dennis was taken to the hospital where he underwent reconstructive hip and knee surgeries. He spent a total of six weeks in the hospital and a rehab facility and is now continuing his long road of recovery at home.

Dennis has already been out of work for two months and although he continues to heal, his medical team expects it to be another six months before he will have full use of his leg again. He is currently unable to drive and it will most likely be several weeks to several months before he could return to work.

This fund was set up to help ease Dennis' financial burden so he has one less thing to worry about on this long road of physical healing he has ahead of him. The funds will be used to help with medical bills, rent, utilities and food costs. Any donation will be a blessing to Dennis!
