Help David Fight Cancer

Donation protected
We recently celebrated David’s 30th birthday and we couldn’t have been more grateful to celebrate his life as he has battled cancer for the past 6 months!

In March 2021 David's dog jumped on his lap leaving behind a pain that made him seek medical attention. Little did he know at that time, that it would lead to a diagnosis of Testicular Cancer and was told… YOUR DOG MAY HAVE SAVED YOUR LIFE (so shoutout to Max and his brother Leo for helping your dad)!

At this time David’s battle began, starting with an initial surgery to remove the tumor. From here he received a call that the tumor looked bad and they recommended he be seen right away. The 2 weeks we waited for an appointment felt like months and the doctors wanted more tests, more scans, more blood and even asked him for extra blood samples with each blood draw to help continue medical research. David jumped on the opportunity to help other men with testicular cancer, because if you know David, he will help you in any way possible!

After all the tests and scans doctors called and told him that things were worse than they originally thought. The cancer had spread to his lungs, chest, abdomen, and very close to his kidneys,  so instead of 2 harsh drugs, it would be 3 harsh drugs, therefore over the next 3.5 months he would have long grueling hours of chemotherapy. We stood by his side and watched as our 29-year-old brother, son, nephew, uncle, best friend and dog dad weather the storm. He endured lots of pain and change on his body, but he stayed strong.  As chemotherapy came to an end, we all had a sigh of relief, but learned his battle wouldn’t end there.  There were some left-over large tumors that needed to be surgically removed and he could possibly lose his kidney.

In August, David underwent major abdominal surgery to remove the tumors and was able to keep his kidney, but it would be a long road to recovery. To this day David is not fully recovered and it has been tough, but he pushes through with hopes to start feeling like himself again.  At this stage, as David awaits another round of post op doctor visits, scans and bloodwork, we wanted to help him get back on his feet both physically and financially. We started this GoFundMe with hopes to ease some of the financial burden and stress so he can truly focus on his recovery.  So to anyone who reads this we ask please keep him in your prayers and if you can help financially, we would appreciate anything you can give toward his medical bills and on-going long term care.

We love David more than words can express, we thank God for him every day and we thank you for your love and support during this time!
