Chad Steich Fundraiser/Medical Expenses

Dear Friends,
On March 7, 2014 Chad incurred a very serious spinal cord injury. He received emergency surgery at St. Luke's hospital to remove vertebra to relieve the pressure from his swollen and bruised spinal cord. He has been transferred to Good Shepherd rehabilitation hospital to an inpatient rehab program. He will be inpatient for ten weeks and then will be returning home and will continue outpatient rehab therapy three days a week. At this time Chad is severely impaired suffering from significant paralysis of his arms and legs. While his prognosis is hopeful it is apparent his rehabilitation will be intense and lengthy. Due to Chad being laid off at the time of the incident his medical insurance was terminated a week before the accident. His family had to sign him up for Cobra insurance at a very high premium cost. He also has no income coming in and will not be eligible for disability for six months. When Chad does come home, his house will need renovations in order to accomodate his disabilty as well.
Thank you all for your support and generosity!!
