Bear surgery

I’m really at a loss for words right now...I never thought I would be creating a GoFundMe page for anything. This came as a shock to our family. Our gentle giant, Bear, was diagnosed pneumothorax (collapsed lung) just last night. We had taken him to our local vet the morning of, they checked him out and basically told us that he was just in pain from his knees. Later that night, his tongue started turning blue and so we took him to the ER. The surgeons say that he will need surgery and without it, he’ll be gone. Bear is our first family pet. This diagnosis and the pneumothorax itself came suddenly. Doctors still don’t know what caused it. I know it’s a tough time for everyone given the state of things.
