Raising funds for Rebecca who is fighting cancer

Donation protected
Rebecca is fighting stage 4 bowel cancer. Please support her to fund ongoing treatment and help her to continue to make memories with her two beautiful children.

Rebecca’s Journey
Sadly my lovely cousin Becca was diagnosed with bowel cancer in January 2023. After numerous visits to the GP with rectal bleeding since 2019 she was eventually sent for a colonoscopy. Following this, Rebecca was then sent for a CT scan and a few weeks later received the devastatingly heartbreaking news that the cancer had spread throughout her liver making it inoperable.

Rebecca’s journey since then has been extremely challenging. The cancer spread in July 2023 and she has recently been told that it has spread again with a small nodule on her lung. She has also been told that palliative chemotherapy isn’t having any positive effect. Rebecca is now on a new chemo pill but is rapidly running out of options. The next treatment she will require is Avastin which isn’t available on the NHS and will cost between £5-6K per month to self-fund.

In addition to this, Rebecca may in the future, need to look into treatment abroad which could also be costly.

Before Rebecca’s cancer diagnosis, she had a promising career as a social worker but is now left unable to work. Her partner is now her full-time carer.

Rebecca would like to make as many beautiful memories as she can with her children Kaylem (17) and Alfie (3) whom she loves dearly. She is devastated that they are experiencing the impact of this cruel disease alongside her.

Rebecca has also been left unable to spend as much time with her mum as she normally does. Morag was also diagnosed with cancer in her 30’s and since then Rebecca has dedicated her life to ensuring that her mum has had so many positive experiences. She is left devastated that she is physically unable to do what she used to.

Rebecca has a heart of gold, she is kind to everyone she meets and leaves a lasting impression. Probably for being the most ditsy person you ever met. She has faced this terrible disease with such bravery, that it has left me in awe. I can't imagine what she and her boys are going through.

So, please find it in your heart to donate if possible. It would be greatly appreciated by Becca and her family, as would any wishes of love and support.

Thanks for reading, please feel free to share Rebecca's story far and wide.
