8C Belmont Blast - Western Regional Championship

On June 18-19, the 8C Belmont Blast competed in a Western Regional Qualifier tournament at Twin Creeks in Sunnyvale, Ca. There were 17 teams at this tournament, and the girls needed to finish top 6 to be invited to play in San Diego at the Western Regional Championship Tournament.  After losing their first game 5-4, which went extra innings and invoked the tie-breaker rule, the girls never gave up. They proceeded to win the next 7 games in a row and take 3rd place out of the 17. As a result, they received the invite to play in San Diego and eagerly look forward to the experience. The girls have worked extremely hard this summer and have grown closer as a team. They have continually stayed positive and kept things fun.
