Save Louth Legion Hall
Donation protected
Many of you will have heard about the British Legion Hall in Louth being put up for sale, this is happening very soon.
This hall has been a stalwart of the Louth community for 160 years and holds significant memories for many.
Over the last year a small group of the community have come together and have been working hard to find a way to purchase the building and save it from a future that will likely involve demolition and being turned into housing.
We want to get the hall back into the hands of the community.
We have a strong vision for what this building could be and that involves a bakery/cafe, several multifunctional spaces for hire, a business hub with co-working spaces, and meeting rooms as well as a cultural hub bringing local gigs, art and theatre back to the hall.
So, how can you help?
This is the last push, these next few weeks are crunch time for us. We have managed to navigate ways to raise a larger chunk money we need in order to attempt to buy the hall but we need your help with the last part of that.
Please note, any pledges will be held in our GoFundMe account and only withdrawn if we are successful in our purchase attempt. Should we be unsuccessful you will be fully refunded directly from the platform.
We can't do this without you. We've come so far but we need your help with this last bit. It's easy as a member of a community like Louth to sit and watch things happen in the town and feel helpless to change but here you have an opportunity to do something, to be a part of something, and we really hope you will.
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
