Aloha Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,
It’s with heavy hearts that we reach out to you to share the devastating news of my brother Robert’s passing. Tragically, on February 28th, 2024 he took his own life. The shock and grief our family is experiencing is indescribable, and we’re struggling to come to terms with our unimaginable loss.
Robert was a kind and compassionate soul, loved by everyone who knew him. He brought light into our lives by spreading laughter, his warm smile, and unconditional love; he was a friend, a son, a brother that you could always depend on to be there. While we mourn for him, we also want to remember the joy he brought into our lives and the memories we shared together.
We’re arranging a funeral to honor and celebrate his life. As you can imagine, the financial burden of setting this up is overwhelming, especially in Hawai’i where the cost of living is inflated and we are all struggling paycheck to paycheck. The military is offering to support with $700, for an arrangement that will cost nearly $13,000+. We’re reaching out to our community for support during this incredibly difficult time to honor Robert’s memory and ensure that he’s remembered with the love and respect he deserves. We understand that times are tough for many, so any amount you can provide will make a meaningful difference and will be deeply appreciated.
