Help Me Regain Independence with Stairlift & Home Support

Trapped in my own home, Please help me regain my independence!

I never imagined my life would come to this, being unable to move freely in my own home, relying entirely on others just to get through the day. Two years ago, everything changed. On July 27th, I caught COVID-19, and what was supposed to be just another illness turned into a nightmare. Pneumonia and sepsis took over my body, leaving me hospitalized for months. I fought through the unimaginable, placed in a coma six times, forced to relearn how to walk, and battling one health crisis after another. But no matter how hard I fought, my body kept failing me.
Now, I am left with interstitial lung disease, a condition that has taken away my strength and my mobility. Simple tasks drain me completely. I can no longer use my stairs. I can no longer step outside on my own. Every day feels like I am trapped in a space that is supposed to be my home, but instead, it has become my prison.
My biggest challenge right now is mobility. I can’t safely move between floors in my own house. I can’t even go outside without my husband’s help. Every movement is exhausting, and without the right adjustments, my condition will only worsen. My greatest fear is that I will lose what little independence I have left. But there is a way forward. With the right home modifications, I can regain some control over my life. I need a stairlift so I can safely navigate my home. I need ramps installed at my front and back doors so I can use my mobility scooter and finally step outside on my own. I need a wet room because, right now, my husband has to help me in and out of the bath, and it’s becoming too difficult for both of us.
I never thought I would have to ask for help like this, but I can’t do this alone. These modifications are costly, and right now, we simply don’t have the funds to make them happen. The total cost is estimated to be £50,000. That’s an overwhelming number, but if just 1,000 people donated £50, I would reach my goal. Every single pound donated will go directly toward helping me regain my mobility and independence.
If you are reading this, I am asking from the bottom of my heart, please, if you can, help me. Whether it’s by donating or simply sharing my story, you can be the reason I get to move freely again. No amount is too small, and every share could connect me with someone willing to help. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life trapped in my own home. I don’t want to lose what little freedom I have left. Please, help me take back control of my life.
Please donate now and be a part of my journey.

The funds will be used for the following
A stairlift so i can safely get up and down the stairs and sit and enjoy watching tv in my living room.

Ramps for my front and back doors so i can get outside on my mobility scooter by myself when my husband is in work.

A wet room so my husband can wheel me in and help me shower as at the moment my shower is over my bath and i can no longer use it. Nothing beats a nice warm shower.

Ramps for our van so my husband can take me on days out when he's not in work and enjoy spending quality time with loved ones.
