If any of you are lovers of Fergndans pizza, you may have noticed that John and Laurabeth have been missing from the Café lately. William, Daniel, and Emma Grace, their children, have done an amazing job of stepping up and running the business in nearly every aspect in the last couple of months, because that is what you do in a family business! As many of you know, John has been critically ill for over 2 months. We believe that he is finally on the correct path that is going to lead to a recovery. But it is going to be a very long road of rehabilitation that will also have more surgery and hospital stays involved in the future.
I am Kerri Tettleton, Laurabeth’s sister. I have been blessed to be able to be with her and John through most every difficult and exciting moment during the last few months. I would not have wanted to be anywhere else. But I have felt powerless to help John or LB many days – several terrible days all we could do was wait on the Lord and pray! Even just beyond those days we faced more setbacks – each has been scary and frustrating. Yet, I have watched Laurabeth sit beside John’s bed and read scripture to him when she could do nothing else. The Lord has been gracious and is restoring John‘s health – but he is a shadow of himself right now.
Many of you have asked me what you can do. This last couple of months has already built a pile of debt that is unbelievable and has added to Laurabeth and John’s stress levels -which is the last thing that they need.
I am hoping we can come together and do whatever we can to relieve their financial burdens as much as possible.
It will give them one less thing to worry about, so that John can just focus on getting well, and Laurabeth can focus on helping him get stronger and back to taking Fergndans to the next level!
