On November 22, 2017, our 12 year old daughter Aspen was diagnosed with ALL- Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia which is cancer of the blood. (Fortunately, this type of cancer has a 90-95% cure rate, and we are extremely thankful for that.) Even though it's curable she has a very long road ahead of her, frequent hospital stays and doctor visits, and giant fight ahead of her.
Her Journey so far . . .
For weeks she has had weird aches and pains, undiagnosable joint paint, constant fevers every night, and just overall weakness and sickness. We thought it might've been Lyme Disease because she was bitten by a tick back in September and most of her illness started right after she was bitten, but we learned otherwise on the 22nd.
Our family has been through a lot in the last two years. We found out in April 2016 that our nine year old son Logan has a rare kidney disease called Neuphrotic Syndrome, that causes protein to leak into his urine and his red blood cells to flood his body with water. We had just started adjusting to his frequent hospital visits, and the new diet changes we had to make. In January he also developed Pancreaititis that has kept him in and out of the hospital as well.
We know now that with two kids both in and out of the hospital, we won't be able to keep up with all the doctor bills that are coming in our future.
The hospital is over an hour away, and we would like to put any money raised towards paying the children's doctor bills, prescriptions, and other items they may need in the upcoming months.
Anything will help, and we are grateful to anyone that wishes to donate.
Aspen will be going under extensive chemo treatments for the next two to three years.
Logan's illnesses are up in the air but currently he's in remission for his Kidney disease, but still has frequent battles with Pancreaititis.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any prayers, love and support you give to our family in the upcoming months, we are so thankful for the strong support we already receive from our family, and the amazing friendships we have made.
She will beat this! Aspen will kick Leukemia's butt because she's our little ninja and we know she's the strongest fighter out there.
Always with love and positivity in our hearts, we thank you.
