Hi everyone I wouldn’t have ever thought we would be in this position but my girlfriend Nikki has been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. She beat this once before after initially being diagnosed in 2019. Had a mastectomy reconstruction chemo and radiation. And had just broke the 3 year cancer free mark. But now within the last few weeks while driving home from New Mexico after spending time with her father who was also in the hospital, at a fuel stop in Holbrook walking back to her car she collapsed in pain after her leg gave out. She had been experiencing pain in her leg but just thought it was a pulled muscle or her knee. While after being taken to the ER in Winslow and having X-rays it showered her femur broke at a lesion just above her knee. She was flown back down to the valley to chandler regional where they determined after a biopsy that her cancer has returned. she has had surgery to insert a rod in the bone to allow it to start healing last thursday. And was sent home last Saturday to recover from the break. And now today she returned for another surgery to reinsert a “port” to allow for another round of chemo. We have both now been out of work for 2 weeks fighting this new occurrence of cancer. We’re taking things day by day but finances are quickly starting to become a concern. Any help with her day to day expenses and the impending medical expenses is greatly appreciated. Thank you. And god bless.
