The coronavirus has devastated millions of lives socially and economically. As the number of cases continues to rise in Bangladesh and throughout the world, the lockdown has halted the economy and disrupted the everyday lives of people.
The people most affected are everyday workers such as hawkers, rickshawalas, cleaners, maids etc. Their families need our help the most in these hard times. They rely on their daily income to get by and with the current situation, it is very dangerous for anyone to even go out, let alone being able to work. Without any income flow, it is scary to imagine how many people are starving, stuck at home, helpless, thinking about how to get their next meal.
Each person receiving a bag will be getting the following necessary supplies:
3kg rice
1kg lentils
2kg potato
2 onions
1 litre oil
These supplies will help a family of 4 to be fed for up to a week. Please donate anything you are able to and share this campaign. We are all in this together.
