Baby Kane Allen

Kane made his arrival today at 34 weeks.  Kane will be spending time in the NICU due to respiratory distress. His labs did come back showing an infection so he was given antibiotics. He is already showing his mama and daddy just how much of a fighter he is, and is doing well. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers!!  He is perfection.Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

My sweet daughter Amanda Jane Risner was diagnosed today with Vasa Previa. Vasa previa is a rare pregnancy complication that can lead to severe blood loss for your fetus if it’s not carefully managed. With vasa previa, unprotected blood vessels from the umbilical cord travel across the opening of your cervix (or cervical os). When your water breaks during labor, the exposed blood vessels can burst, causing severe blood loss for your fetus or even death. Diagnosing vasa previa early and delivering your baby via c-section can prevent these complications from occurring. She was supposed to have a baby shower but we had to cancel it due to her being admitted to the hospital to keep she and baby Kane safe until he makes his arrival. She is expected to be off work for at least 4-5 months due to the c-section and baby Kane having to stay for a few weeks. This was so unexpected and she and Daulton are feeling many emotions and trying to process the not so good news. Daulton will need to make several trips back and forth while trying to work. He too will need to be off for a few days to stay with Amanda and Kane at the hospital. They could really use the help over the next few months. If you can’t donate, please share and pray.
