Farsley Rehoboth Burial Ground Community Asset
The black and white photograph was taken in December 2006, the background photograph is how it is today (May 2019).
Please join me in making a difference for our community.
We are raising funds to enable the Friends of The Farsley Rehoboth Burial Ground, (Coal Hill Lane) to be given back to the local community after many years of exclusion, due to a private owner denying access. This resulted in considerable neglect of this historic Burial Ground, which is the resting place of 4,000 local people interred between 1785 to 2000, many of whom still have family who live locally.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Our Registered Charity (Number 1182468) has completed a contract with the owner to purchase, reclaim and maintain this historic ground and make accessible as a community asset.
Initial safety and preparatory work commenced in June 2019 but requires donations to achieve our objective to “return the Burial Ground back to the community”.
We are fundraising to purchase groundwork and supporting equipment.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box “if applicable” to add more funds to our fundraising.
