RIP Matt Dale - Partner, Father, Son & Friend.

On Christmas Day my sister unexpectedly and tragically lost her partner and my nephew lost his dad, Matt. Matt was 43.

Matt was found unresponsive on Saturday evening having suffered a suspected cardiac arrest. Paramedics were able to get his heart beating again but sadly he never regained consciousness and was taken off life support on Christmas Day morning.

Matt was loved by his family and well liked by all who had the good fortune to know him and will be sorely missed, though he’ll live on in our hearts and our memories.

Sharon and Matt had been together for 15 years and their son Zack is just 7 years old and whilst obviously there is never a good time to lose a loved one, there is perhaps none worse than Christmas. Therefore, with the added cost around this period, I’d like for us to try and help Sharon and Zack by raising money to help them with funeral and other expenses during this extremely emotional and painful time, taking away at least one source of stress so that they may focus on helping each other cope with their loss.

Whilst it is appreciated things are difficult for many at the moment, if you are able donate anything it would be very gratefully received.

Equally, if you are lucky enough to have know Matt and would like to leave a message for Sharon and Zack below, that would mean a lot.
