Declan's Medical Fund

Many of you know me through my dad (Brian) and or my mom (Vanessa) or maybe one of my brothers or sister. My name is Declan and on the afternoon of June 16th I went out to surprise my dad while he was mowing. Only he didn't know that and when I was sneaking up on him he backed up and I got hurt really bad on my right leg and lost my right foot. I spent 30 days in the hospital and have had 10 surgeries so far.

My life has totally changed for now but as I heal I will be able to get a new foot that will have to be replaced each year till I stop growing.

Declan has been an incredible inspiration to his mother and I. As I grabbed him up to get him to the hospital that day you could imagine the thoughts going through my mind! Worried and tearful he looked at me and said "Dad don't cry, accidents happen and Jesus is with me!" This is coming from my 4 year old son!

Here we are 6 weeks later and he continues to amaze the two of us with his healing and happiness. We have a long road ahead of us, and know that we will make it with Gods help. Our uncertainty is what our actual medical bills will be. We are only asking for any help that you might be inclined to give, which would be greatly appreciated. We both feel Declan is headed for something great as he has lifted us and touched everyone that cared for him at the hospital.

This is something that I would never have imagined that I would be doing in my life but this accident has shown me how quickly life can change and how blessed we are to have Declan with us. Gods blessings to you all as you consider donating to Declan's Medical fund!
