Support the Hale Family
Donation protected
As some of you may already know, a wonderful NKY family is in need of our support, the Hale Family. 39 year old, Jeff Hale, has a degenerative disease that affects ALL of his muscles leaving him wheelchair bound, but the disease mainly affects his heart. He is currently in heart failure and needs a transplant ASAP. The transplant is so risky that UC denied him, so he has to be at Cleveland Clinic. He is currently in the ICU where he will remain until a heart donor is found. Jeff was moved from a level 6 to a level 2 on the transplant list this past week. The Hales have 3 beautiful girls - Lily (age 14), Molly (age 12), and Macey (age 9). Katie Hale, is having to go back and forth to Cleveland Clinic (4 hours each way) and spending several hundred dollars per night at a hotel placing enormous financial burdens on their family. Katie and Jeff are both hardworking, loyal,
loving people. Despite Jeff’s medical struggles, he has worked for 15 years at Kroger and Katie has impacted so many students/families as an elementary teacher. She has taught 1st grade since Thornwilde opened. You can imagine the immense amount of stress being placed on all 5 members of the Hale family. I wanted to share their story and organize a way to show our support during this difficult time. If you feel led, please consider donating to the Hale family. The funds will be used for gas and lodging. I pray that we can wrap our loving arms around their family during this time of need and to help lighten a little bit of their struggles. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
