UN World Food Program: Haas Against Hunger
Tax deductible
We at Berkeley Haas are on a mission to feed families on the front lines of our planet’s most dangerous and complicated emergencies. Here at Haas, we are a community committed to using our talents for good. Our culture of going “beyond ourselves”, has continually provided us with hope in times of need.
It is in this spirit that we’re calling on YOU to help save lives by donating your time, money, and/or network to help us reach our goal of $5,000 by January 10, 2021.
Around the world, 690 million people don't have enough food to lead an active and healthy life. As countries face a record number of emergencies, many fueled by conflict and the effects of climate change, more people are being pushed further into hunger.
To ensure that the most vulnerable people get lifesaving aid, 2020 Nobel Peace Prize Winner, the United Nations World Food Program, is on the ground providing food and other assistance to almost 100 million people in 83 countries worldwide. Each day, WFP has 5,600 trucks, 30 ships, and nearly 100 planes deployed in support of those who need it most.
We understand times are challenging for everyone. However, it is during these tough times that we must come together as a global community to help those most in need. Any assistance, whether it be raising awareness, providing money, or even simply sharing this campaign will go a long way. Thank you for your support!
The impact of your gift:
$.80 cents is the average cost of delivering an emergency meal to feed one child for a day.
$75 can provide a family with a U.N. World Food Programme emergency box — which contains enough food for an entire month.
$150 can provide a family with a U.N. World Food Programme emergency box — which contains enough food for two months.
Thank you again for sharing our steadfast belief in the potential and dignity of the world’s most vulnerable. Together, let's continue to make a difference!
