HOMELESS STUDENTS GOING TO COLLEGE

The GEAR UP program at RIDGE VIEW HIGH SCHOOL has four amazing students who will graduate on June 6 and then attend college this fall.  WHAT MAKES THEM AMAZING IS THAT THEY HAVE ACCOMPLISHED ALL OF THIS WHILE BEING HOMELESS. They have all received SCHOLARSHIPS so their tuition, room, and board are covered.  WHAT THEY NEED IS MONEY TO PURCHASE DORMITORY SUPPLIES - SHEETS, PILLOWS, TOWELS, ETC. - all of the little things that we take for granted when we have a home. The school social worker will take the students shopping to ensure that funds are utilized appropriately.
