‼️NEW UPDATE - Thompson from Rock County Sheriff’s Dept called Tammy 8/14/23 around 9:16am reporting a breakthrough in Chris’s case. He told Tammy “I think we found Christopher’s body”. Rock County, Winnebago County and Dane County showed up to Tammy’s house in Rockford, where they proceeded to say they found a body inside an “abandoned home”, that had been “vacant” since Oct 2022. They received an “anonymous tip” on a “website” they don’t track around 12pm yesterday 8/13/23. They did not have a positive identification of the body at the time the conversation took place in person but reported they had strong reason to believe it was Chris based on what they “found”. They wouldn’t release any other info beyond this as they claim it’s an open investigation. We spoke with the Dane County ME who confirms he was wearing a black jogging suit. They eventually called back 8/14/23 to confirm they did ID him based on his tattoo and dental records. 

Hi there. My name is Mallory Duerst, and I am Christopher Miller’s fiancé. I am creating this go fund me for his mom, Tammy James. Chris was last seen by Wisconsin State Patrol on 11/19/22 at 2:30am on I39/I90 by the 177.6 mile marker just southbound of Avalon Rd/Hwy11 exit. Police claim he fled on foot going southbound into the ditch right off the interstate. He was last seen wearing a black Nike jogging suit, black and grey Nike air max shoes and a white and black hat. He was not wearing a winter jacket and police have his phone. He doesn’t have any ties to Janesville and is unfamiliar with the area. He has family in Rockford and Chicago, and his kids live in Madison WI. Despite our constant pleas for help and concerns for Chris, he has just gone “missing” without a trace. We have lots of unanswered questions. We don’t know if he was hurt from the accident. WI State Patrol continued pursuing him at speeds of 90+ mph following the crash and even after he lost a tire. His car is totaled with heavy front right and left damage. Search efforts have been very casual since day one. There has been no urgency whatsoever. The investigation itself has been turned over multiple times - WSP 11/19-11/20, handed to Rock County 11/21-11/27, handed to Madison PD 11/28-present. We are reliant upon approval from Rock County to get help with any searches from SAR agencies, which they have declined and simply said “there will be no further searches without credible evidence.” They have refused ruling out the Rock River. They are refusing to give us all requested info claiming it’s an “open investigation”. We have NOTHING, no information, no leads, no traces. Chris is SOMEWHERE, and someone knows something. Chris is a loving father, son, friend, fiancé, cousin. We all miss him terribly and will fight for him until the end of time until we find him and get the answers that we’ve been begging for. These GoFundMe donations will be going towards our PI. We are also look into private search agencies with dogs to assist us on ground, as well as obtain a civil rights lawyer with a retention fee.
