Pendleside Hospice Bereavement service

Donation protected
Children’s Mental Health Week was first launched in 2015 to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health.

Mental health issues can affect children at any time but when they have lost a loved one, understanding the emotions, developing anxieties, and coping with changes to their lives, as a result of bereavement can make like harder than ever. Pendleside Hospice have a bereavement service to support the whole family through difficult times.

Simon, the Family Support Team leader said that ''Supporting children to understand, express and accept their thoughts, feelings and emotions is essential for positive mental health and development. Counselling facilitates this during what can be a difficult and often crucial time in a child’s life. Books and guides help this process and provide self-help and comfort between counselling sessions and can significantly improve a child’s wellbeing.''

After speaking to the amazing team at the Hospice, I thought that it would be lovely to set up a fundraising event to raise funds to provide books to be used alongside counselling sessions.

I will top up the amount raised by using all commissions on every sale so that we can provide as many books/activities as possible. Your support would really make a difference.

Thank you
