I created this fundraising to help Mariam achieve here dreams by raising funds to start her training project anew. I will leave you with Mariam to tell you what happened to her and what her story is.

Hi this is Mariam from Gaza , I'm 19 years old ,I've spent my life immersed in my love and passion for basketball. Before October 7th, I was a basketball coach and player as you can see.

I had a big dream that was shattered when my home, my court, and my possessions were destroyed. My life changed drastically as I lost children from my team, who had always taken up my time, and members of my family.

Now, I'm one of the survivors of the genocide war about ten days ago. Prior to that, I was battling hepatitis, which forced me to leave Gaza with two family members for treatment, as we couldn't afford to get the rest of my family out. I couldn't complete the tests and treatment because the money we have now is only enough for food. There's no income, and we haven't had the opportunity to find work here.

Before leaving Gaza, we lived in a tent that was bitterly cold at night and scorching hot during the day, infested with insects and diseases. We evacuated from our home to our friends' house, then to the southern part of the strip, which was supposed to be safe, and finally to Rafah. The last evacuation was the hardest, as we faced gunfire from the occupation forces and miraculously survived. Now, I'm trying to fight the disease in a different way.

I'm trying to find an opportunity to work as a second trainer despite my health conditions, but so far, I haven't found anyone to give me the chance to train and work for them. So, I decided to start my own project so that I can support my family financially. I need financial assistance to start the project, which is a basketball training program for children as a private coach and at the same time we need this money to complete our education case my university and my brother's school are bombed in Gaza.

We lost everything we've ever had in Gaza, I can't comprehend how we got here or why things turned out this way. Asking for money from someone is difficult for me, as I've always been the one helping others in need. But now I need help to start over.

5000 to complete my four-year university education, and for my 16 years old brother to complete the remaining 6 years of his studies.

And the 5000$ to start my project and buy everything I need (shoes, balls, training equipment, clothes, and pay for the rent of the court) .
