John Berisford Hospital Fund

Donation protected

In early March, John Berisford's life was forever changed. While in China working for a university, John fell critically ill. He remains in a coma, and has been hospitalized for more than a month. His medical team has stated he is stable enough for travel, however, he cannot fly commercially. His condition warrants that he must travel via air ambulance. As expected, this is very costly. Your donation will assist the family in bringing him home, where he can receive his long-term care with their full support.

John has spent many years teaching "English as a Second Language" (ESL) abroad. His desire to teach has provided opportunities all over the world including New Zealand, Korea, and most recently China. John's love of life and his quest for knowledge is what drove him to seek out these opportunities.

John was raised a Mountaineer in the "Foothills of West Virginia". A 1996 graduate of John Marshall High School, John excelled at academics, was a member of many clubs, and active in sports. Probably most importantly, John was a member of the Marshall County and State 4-H programs. As any 4-H'er knows, once a 4-H member, always a 4-H member, even in adulthood. Always a proud Mountaineer, John is a graduate of West Virginia University.

The family would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for donating. Every dollar gets us closer to our goal.
