Amy: bringing the gospel to Honduras

After spending 8 months volunteering at an orphanage in Honduras last year, I've felt led to move outside of the orphanage setting to target the issues that can lead kids to end up in orphanages. This year I will be a missionary intern with Mission to the World in La Ceiba, Honduras. I will be working alongside the missionaries doing church planting (equipping nationals), medical care and mercy ministries, Bible studies, discipleship, kids clubs and teaching English.

I'm excited to say that I have raised 100% of my budget for MTW! But, since I am doing a volunteer internship, meaning that I get no salary, there are some expenses that are not reimbursable through my MTW budget, which covers housing, transportation and food. These additional expenses include things such medicine, toiletries, travel to visit the orphanages I've volunteered at, gifts for the kids at the orphanages, aid to students that have left, gifts to locals, and any other personal expenses that are necessary while in Honduras.
